Visiting the final undiscovered locations in Toussaint in my current game. Some wild dogs, and a level 42 Wight, are put to the sword as I mop-up these remaining two places.
This part of the quest “La Cage au Fou” is one of the best (and most touching) parts of the entire game, in my humble opinion. Choosing to lift the curse and rescue Marlene de Trastamara is a wonderful thing.
This part of the quest “La Cage au Fou” leads up to a showdown with a Wight at the Trastamara Estate Ruins. This Wight, however, is more than just a monster that wants to fight you – it is actually a trapped woman that you can rescue.
The extended Yrden circle is 40% bigger than normal, it replenishes Geralt’s stamina quicker when he’s inside it, it lowers his damage taken, and doubles Geralt’s Sign intensity.
While investigating the ‘problem’ with Lady Vivienne, Geralt stumbles upon a very rare monster indeed – a Wight, in a cave in Toussaint.
For this guide I’m going to concentrate on the monsters you find in the wilds – the “generic” monsters that can be encountered while out in the world. Not the Monster Contracts – that’s a separate guide.
