An Abandoned Site just south of Tomira’s house is overrun by Ghouls. Clearing them out allows the population to return and a merchant sets up in the village.

The second part of the quest Contract: Devil by the Well. Geralt first brews some Swallow potions and some Specter Oil, then burns the remains and the bracelet to force the Noonwraith to appear and fight him.

Devil by the Well is the first monster contract in the game and in it Geralt is tasked with getting rid of a Noonwraith haunting a local well. As the name suggests, Noonwraiths tend to appear when the sun is high in the sky, which is why the ghost isn’t there when I first visit in the morning.

After agreeing to take on the Griffin contract Geralt visits Tomira the herbalist to ask her about Buckthorn, then goes to see Mislav the hunter to find out where the Griffin’s last victims were found. After investigating the site he then finds out why the Griffin has left its lair.

Lilac and Gooseberries continues. First with a fist fight with some irate locals, then with a short ride to the Nilfgaardian Garrison in northern White Orchard. Here Geralt asks about Yennefer, then makes a deal with the Nilfgaardian commander, Captain Peter Saar Gwynleve.

Clearing out a small homestead of bandits near Tesham Mutna, Geralt finds a note leading to a small secondary quest called The Inconstant Gardener.
