Guide for first-time Witcher 3 players

The world of The Witcher 3 may seem daunting to some players, and in fact there are a lot of things to learn when you’re playing as Geralt of Rivia, and having a basic understanding of what’s priority can really help first-time players.

Maxing-Out Mutations

By maxing-out Mutations you can unlock new skills that Geralt can take advantage of. Only one Mutation skill can be active at one time, though.

Getting Into Gwent

The Witcher 3’s in-built card game, Gwent, can be challenging to get into, although it needn’t be. It’s a fun distraction from the beauty and misery of the main game.

Witcher 3 Mutagen Farming

Mutagens are useful, colour-coded cells that can be acquired from slain monsters and used to boost Geralt’s powers.
