The second part of the quest Contract: Devil by the Well. Geralt first brews some Swallow potions and some Specter Oil, then burns the remains and the bracelet to force the Noonwraith to appear and fight him.

Devil by the Well is the first monster contract in the game and in it Geralt is tasked with getting rid of a Noonwraith haunting a local well. As the name suggests, Noonwraiths tend to appear when the sun is high in the sky, which is why the ghost isn’t there when I first visit in the morning.

Climbing the large tower at the centre of the landscape, Geralt goes looking to talk to Longlocks, who’s supposed to be in the room at the top.

Easing myself into Hearts of Stone with a short quest called “The Cursed Chapel”. I make my way through the Wraith-infested courtyard and into the crypt below the chapel itself, to fight the Cursed Mother.

The extended Yrden circle is 40% bigger than normal, it replenishes Geralt’s stamina quicker when he’s inside it, it lowers his damage taken, and doubles Geralt’s Sign intensity.

A powerful Penitent wraith has cursed the lighthouse of Eldberg. It’s Geralt’s job (therefore your job) to rid this monster from the game.

Fighting The White Lady on the fields of Velen. The Yrden circle, cast on the ground, forces the immaterial ghost to become material, so I can damage it.

Drawing Power

In this instance from a Yrden stone, or Place of Power. These enhance the power of a particular Witcher sign for a set period of time.
